Re: Rock Pool, Gara gorge.

Interesting image, Maris. I'm puzzled by the plant matter; aquatic grass or needle leaves blown onto the water surface?

Re: Mountain Image, Main Range

Nostalgic for me too. I was just thinking a couple of days ago that I'd be pushing to do Charlotte Pass to Blue Lake and back now. And that's not carrying LF kit. It's nice we have the images and memories to nourish our souls when the flesh becomes too weak. Great place, great image.

Re: Nude with Sand

An interesting concept and beautifully executed as usual, Maris. I chuckle at the WG-style description... whether serious or in jest, Walter's comments always provoke thought.

Re: Snow Gum View, #9.

Love this, Maris. Great composition and full of interest from foreground to background. Camera couldn't have been very far from the foreground grasses. Lovely.

Re: Berlebach Report 2042 tripod - new

G'day Walter, was going to email you before Christmas. Things going well, am happy to say. Photographically, not enough hours in the day... but you understand that. Oddly, just two days ago, after two years of faultless operation, the gremlins showed up in the Ilford multigrade enlarger!!! Problem s...

Re: Berlebach Report 2042 tripod - new

Yes it is. Beautifully made and not all that heavy. I don't know how it compares with a comparable metal tripod, but it's certainly manageable. As it happens, I've been going through my old 8x10 negs recently with the view to reprinting some of them, and have been grabbed by the wonder of the format...

Berlebach Report 2042 tripod - new

I bought this brand new a few years ago with the idea of getting back into 8x10. It never happened and at 75 I don't think it ever will! Apart from putting my 4x5 on it to check it out, I've never actually used the tripod. It's brand new in every way and has remained in it's bag ever since. It's ide...

Re: Old Weyba Bridge and Bird, Soft Focus.

Very nicely seen and executed, Maris. I don't think there are many subjects that respond well to soft focus lenses, but this one certainly does. May I ask how you maintained 'focus', by aperture alone or swings, or both. It must have been tricky, but you did it well. A lovely image.
