Re: Swing Bridge

Nice one MIck, I would not fret too much about how else a 65mm might have affected this: I feel that there is great value in the proportion and scale of the topography and so the purpose of this swing bridge. Just more of the same old, same old from me I guess with my preference fopr picture 'about'...

Re: Petrified Forest

Much as I am invariably a fan of context and the wider framing, in this particular instance I prefer the more portrait framing of the object itself.

Even Cecil B de Mille probably had a good editor so you are blessed in have a concerned and helpful partner in crime at your side.

Re: Bailey's Rocks

Most opportune timing for the light on the main boulder! Was this just 'found' or were you heading to it purposefully?

Re: A Giant Leap Forward

Thanks MIck,

The day I took down the shingle out front of my commercial photography operation I dumped all digital gear and have only ever used big yummy sheets of film. Not as bog as they once might have been, but 4x5 is plenty big enough for a gezzer with a walking stick.

Re: A Giant Leap Forward

Thanks Maris,

This is the product of a day out with a mate embroidering some photography around a nice luch somewhere — a day out.

As you might guess, my 'solo' motifs are another matter all together. Hopefully the engagement with the scanner will invigorate the solo aspects of my efforts.

A Giant Leap Forward

Well, at long last I have set-up my scanner and got it functioning. A significant improvement on the state of play over the last two and a half years! Another change is that I have switched back to Ilfotec DD-X. I used it 18 years ago when it was new on the market and found it incredibly clean. A ro...
