Is this a blemish or not?

I recently aquired a used lens which has a rather interesting blemish. It's a 240mm Linhof lens by Schneider Kreutznach and is in very good condition. I took some polaroid photos to see if the blemish has an effect on the picture quality. They came out very good with no sign of any issues although I...

Re: MOD54 negative processing - first impressions

I've had no problem with the negatives coming out during agitation.
All the negatives have come out evenly developed and have not moved at all.
In fact they seem quite firmly held.
I have the mark 27 model so maybe they have made improvements over the earlier ones.

MOD54 negative processing - first impressions

I've used my newly aquired MOD54 / Paterson Tank system 3 times now. I found it much easier to use than I thought I would. From the youtube videos it looks quite tricky with a few things that can go wrong. I use a changing bag with a box inside to create a space for loading the 6 5x4 negatives. As l...

Re: 5 out of 6 is not bad!

Walter, Marc, and Ian. Thanks for your replies. I like the look of the Printfile sleeves that go into a folder. Probably end up ordering some of these as I like the idea of keeping them in folders. At $25 for 100 sheets (holding 400 negs) should keep me happy for a while. Couldn't get the postage co...

Re: 5 out of 6 is not bad!

Well I ordered some 4x5 neg holders from Vanbar along with a couple of other processing items - thought I'd give them a go. Received them last week and they are single plastic sleeves just a bit larger that a 4x5 negative. There is no provision for putting these into a folder - just a plain sleeve. ...

Re: 5 out of 6 is not bad!

Thanks Marc
Where did you get the Printfile ones from.
If you had to bite the bullet it sounds like they were very expensive.

Re: 5 out of 6 is not bad!

Thanks again Walter.
They are under Filing-Storage > negs
I'm not familiar with the V-Tec brand.

Re: 5 out of 6 is not bad!

Thanks Walter.
After posting to the forum I had a look at the Vanbar site and they do 4x5 archival sheets in packs of 100.
I presume these are for putting in folders similar to how I used to store 35mm negs years ago.

5 out of 6 is not bad!

Just finished processing my first batch of 5x4 negatives. Used my newly aquired Mod 54 and did it all using a changing bag - a bit of a feat but was easy once I got going. Had a session down at Manly Marina a few days ago and shot off 6 photos of the esplanade and the boats. 5 of the negatives have ...
