Re: Direct or Indirect Shifts?

It is my current goal to improve on this and start using tilts to my advantage and not have to keep shooting at f45+! Welly, At f/45 I dare say a great deal of the benefit of large format starts to blur thanks to diffraction. Swing and tilt are not all that hard to master - although you do need to ...

Re: Share your portfolios/galleries/flickr streams?

Nice to see some Scottish Island shots Welly. I only got to do Mull & Iona, I had wanted to get to the Orkneys but the weather closed in and the ferry service was stopped. lewis has always interested me.

Re: From a More Innocent Time

Strangely enough Welly, When I have been in England and see the Union Flag flying all over the place it has always struck me as a battle standard — which I guess it was. Our Australian flag, by comparison, does not have that impact (maybe because I am so used to it and it has become benign) but look...

Re: More panoramic action.

I have always liked the Ned Kelly view of the world with pano formats. Clearly you have developed a fine eye for the aspect ratio.

Re: Adding to the Inventory

When I had my previous Technika I did use it once hand-held shooting hang-gliders with a 300mm lens. Of course there was no facility for rangefinder focussing (there being no rangefinder) with the Technika 2000 but I was able to set focus at an appropriate distance with the ground-glass and then use...
