A stop bath "stops" dev by decreasing pH. When you introduced the new dev you have effectively diluted the small amount of stop agent that was in the emulsion, thus the dev continued.

I think the 270 is a different design to a standard process lens. I have one too. Lucky I kept it over the 300 Nikon m =}

Here's what I did: I searched around for a published price (within Australia), print out a copy, and took it to Officeworks. They have that "Find a cheaper price and we'll beat it by 10%" promise, making it about as cheap as they get in the US. Hope that this help! Tried that but it's sup...
