Re: More panoramic action.

I do like 2.5:1, and as you know Lachlan, I would love a 7x17, or even a 4x10. The big factor with 4x10 is cost and availability of suitable film (Fuji Velvia 50 is being discontinued in 4x5 and 8x10 as of December this year) and 7x17, well, the choices are are all BW... I feel the same about 6x12 s...

Re: Choice of Film. What do you shoot?

I shoot large format colour transparency film for its vivid colour, strong contrast, exceptional sharpness, fine grain and then the killer, how easy it is to shoot, process, evaluate, scan, post process and have printed in ridiculous sizes.. I've printed one of my trannies 30x60" on Fujiflex am...

Re: Choice of Film. What do you shoot?

Jars121, home developing e-6 is so simple and im now paying around 3 bucks a roll... The processor has paid for itself already and so has te 5l chems kit. Jobo Print Drums and extension drum

Two Jobo 2480 print drums with clips, lids light traps.. Perfect condition. Jobo 2560 extension drum. This drum just extends the length and capacity of your existing 2500 series drum. If your current drum allows you fit one 2509 reel, this extension will extend it to be large enough to use 3x 2509's...

Choice of Film. What do you shoot?

I think its pretty obvious that I'm a Velvia 50 nut. I really don't have much experience with anything else. I dont know how to develop BW films, but I process my own E6 slides at home once a month.. I just havent bothered to learn other films really. Colour is the main thing I shoot for. Obviously ...

Re: Somewhere on the South Side of Canberra

Great exposure Geoff. What film did you use for this, you've done well to not blow out the glared reflection of the guard rail while also getting detail from the road surface and the shadowed hills in the background... That kind of dynamic range makes me (as a Velvia 50 shooter) jealous... I wish th...

Re: Direct or Indirect Shifts?

I tend to shoot F/22 almost always. F/32 is as deep as I will go as I don't want to kill the image with diffraction. I find I never NEED to go past f/22 but will shoot f/32 when I'm a little unsure.. (or with longer lenses)
