Re: Direct or Indirect Shifts?

A mixture depending on the scene. Sometimes a slight fall or rise is all it needs but other times i have tilted the rail for composition then adjusted perspective and plane of best focus once thescene is framed.

Re: More panoramic action.

Me too... I find panoramics to be the perfect way to view a landscape. I feel it mimics my actual vision.. When I look at a location, my natural eyesight almost matches a 6x17 field of view with a 90mm lens.. even when I was shooting digital I used to crop almost all my shots 3:1 as I always compose...

Re: Story Bridge - Brisbane.

Thanks Walter, I agree, the final product is quite pleasing. The only thing I wasnt happy with was when I develop a roll of Velvia 50, I expect to see vivid, beautiful colours... this one looked almost monochrome as it was.. Just a few hints of green and blue..

Re: Adding to the Inventory

Linhof cameras are just so nice aren't they.. Everything is and works as you would expect.. Congrats on your new technika. Looking forward to seeing heaps from it ... For what its worth, a 75mm should be fine on your camera in a flat board.. :-)

Re: LF Gear that someone might find useful.

It is currently on a flat Linhof board, I had a 10mm recessed board for it that I bought used but it did not have an offset shutter release attachment and as such I couldnt fit the lens to the board with a cable release. I did use it for a while, firing the shutter by hand but it was a real bother o...

Re: Seascape Panoramics from the last few months.

Oh yeah the Ebony is beautiful, but tripple the cost of the Shen Hao which is still double that of the Da-Yi or Gaoersi 617's... With a 6mth old at home, budget is everything! :)
