You are right, very nice range of tones, could almost do with a slight contrast kick; if one was so inclined. At times I have been amazed at how quickly I sometimes set my 4x5" camera up, yet other times I seem to take forever. I can very well understand your friend's reticence as he contemplat...
Maris, the ever so slight edge falloff, has worked to your great advantage here. With all of the interesting stuff having the right kind of detail and lightness nearer the central part, while the edges seem to look as though they have been skillfully airbrushed into a perfect seamless vignette maski...

I did indeed select the 250mm lens to isolate the building from it's surrounds, with the knowledge that I would need to be quite a bit further away from the actual building. Inclusion of the fence, for whatever reason seemed important to me. I hadn't th...
Well unless you really look for it, one doesn't see it as you pass by/through this village. It is on an L shaped road and not one where you would normally go along.

Pretty good Maris, one cannot see that it is only a double bust sculpture with your tight framing. One of my friends is into sculpture, he went gaga when that sculpture won some kind of prize. It is his style, which was why he was chuffed; also how I know about it down here. You really couldn't do j...
Quite interesting. I have never seen that lens, so I don't know how large it is, but if it is anything like other lenses in the RB range, it certainly wouldn't be light or small.
Doesn't appear to be much falloff either, quite remarkable.
