Coloured Filters for B&W

Good afternoon everyone, I've been reading a fair bit about using coloured filters when shooting B&W. I've got a Cokin Z-Pro setup for ND filters which I used on my digital gear, but I'm not sure whether having 'slide in' filters or 'screw on' filters are best in this case. What do people on her...

Re: More panoramic action.

Lachlan that image is stunning. I can only imagine how much detail there is in those rocks

Re: First solo development of 120 film

Thanks for that Walter! I was in the Hartley region all day yesterday shooting with a mate (what a fantastic area for 617!), and I just developed a 617 roll of TMax 100 in Rodinal at 1:25 @ 20 degrees for 9 minutes, and from what I can see of the negative, it looks really good! The emulsion is clear...

Re: First solo development of 120 film

Hmm very interesting. I don't know much about the Pyrocat and Pyrocat HD formulas, so I might just stick with the Rodinal for the moment and see how I go. I've never used T-Max before either, so it's all a little bit exciting at the moment!

Re: First solo development of 120 film

Thanks for the input guys. I've checked the inside of the camera itself, and everything appears as new. I'm going out shooting this afternoon with some fresh film, so will be able to definitely prove that it was just bad film. How will TMax 100 go with Rodinal? I value sharpness and resolution over ...

First solo development of 120 film

Morning everyone, So I was putting the GX680III through its paces for the first time over the weekend, and developed the film (for the first time by myself I might add) a couple of days ago. I'd been shown how to do it by a mate, so I understood the process relatively well. The image below is typica...

Re: Chris at Blanco Negro - what a nice bloke!

Thanks for letting us know Welly. I've been meaning to go to Blanco for ages now. Knowing that it's run by a legendary bloke is all the more reason to get round to doing it!

Re: Fuji GX680III

I just unpacked it :D First impressions: this thing is ENORMOUS. Every aspect of it is huge. The film backs are huge, the lens mount/lens is huge, the prism finder is huge. I love it. Here's a quick photo of it behind/beside a D2x w/ Nikon 24-70. Only slight downer about the whole exercise, is that ...

Re: Fuji GX680III

I can totally relate to that. Fortunately/unfortunately I haven't been exposed to using LF just yet, so I'm still more than happy with MF. Plus, I'm just starting to get the hang of my Imacon, and it can only handle 35mm and MF haha.
