Blue Pool

We camped here for a couple of days, every time I visited the water there were people running around, until the weather started to turn that is. Finally got what I was after. This is Blue Pool in Freestone Creek, which is north of Briagolong. Shen Hao HZX-IIA 4x5" wooden folder FP4+ 65mm lens, ...

I really like this, that driftwood makes it.

Re: Window, Newstead Wharf.

Very nicely done Maris.

I presume when you mention extreme lateral shift, you possibly moved the front and rear standards in opposite directions? Whatever you did, the distortion in the glass is incredible, yet there is no distortion in the building.

Re: Afternoon Beach, Nude

Another relaxed exposure here. The same model as the tree? Doesn't matter, I like the long shadow. As for the fuzzy black section, I didn't notice it until you pointed it out.

I did note the height you had, big cameras and the iffy places we plonk them down, can be interesting.

Re: Nude in Tree

The best way I've found to photograph people is when they are relaxed, this model looks very relaxed up that tree. I think you are right about models and trees Maris, but I would also include rocks. If you go into a landscape with some boulders, say granite tors, then almost invariably the model wil...

Tarraville Church

This is the oldest Church in Gippsland, or so the sign says. I have been four times to this, each time it has been raining. This time wasn't any different, misty rain fell for the whole time we were there. Decided to have a go anyway as it may be quite some time before we can get back. Exposed this ...

Re: Bottle Jacks

Not too bad Shane. Were these the plates you borrowed the filter to cut the glass for? I seem to recall a Shelley Screw Jack on the Austin version of the Land Rover the old man had around 1958 - 1960, looked a little like what you have photographed. Do you collect these, or just happened upon them a...

Re: Reclining Nude, Noosa Forest.

On a roll there Maris, three completely different genres in a few minutes, all excellent. This is deceptively good, a quick look and it looks alright, then a longer look and it looks better. Viewing it on the screen totally enclosed in a black background, it shines. Great advice there with regard to...
