Re: Brisbane Group Exhibtion

thanks for that Maris. a wealth of good ideas for sure.

i will do up a checklist incorporating all of that and get to work.. upside for me is that i already have the work drum scanned, printed, mounted and framed... that's a process and a half in itself.

Re: Brisbane Group Exhibtion

Yeah QCP's prices look reasonable enough... if we got 4 people and went for Gallery 2 (17.6m) for 990, its under $250 per person for a months worth of gallery space.. 4.4m per person, so 3x 1m wide prints each...

Thats not bad at all..

Re: What's on for the long weekend?

Similar situation mate... Got my new camera late last week... Gaoersi 6x17. Got a roll of Ektar 100 loaded, and 2 more in the bag. Shooting tomorrow sunrise at Somerset Dam (this time of year, the basin fills with a heavy dew/mist in the early hours). Tomorrow evening Cityscapes from the Kangaroo Po...

Re: Brisbane Group Exhibtion

Well lets organise it. :) I know myself and at least one (but most likely three) others... Yeah 6x17 in my opinion is LF... :) So who's doing what? organisation etc? Who is contacting QCP to get a price and amount of wall space (remembering that a 20x60, or 40x50 print takes up a HEAP of wallspace.....

Re: Brisbane Group Exhibtion

Definitely keen.. I know another who like myself has a few 50+ inch prints sitting about that could be displayed.. Hopefully you don't mind medium format? Mine are 20*60inch from 6x17. My mates are 40*50 inch from 4x5..

Re: Whirlpool, Kondalilla Falls.

Last time I did Kondalilla falls it was with a DSLR.. Even that was a bit iffy getting to where this shot was taken.. with an 8x10 I can only imagine.

I'll be taking my 6x17 down there as soon as we get some decent rain... I will probably shoot it on Ilford Pan F+ or FP4+ and Velvia..

My old man on his birthday.

These were taken in May, but as I don't have 4x5 reels for developing 4x5 sheet film I just left the film in the holder until I could get around to getting a reel... I got a little excited last weekend and thought.. well... how hard can it be to tray develop 4x5's? I got 3x1L ice cream tubs. First :...
