Re: WTD: wide 8x10 lens

That is an absolutely stunning image, Maris! Since buying that Fuji lens, I've not actually got out with it yet. It's been looking at me pitifully and so I think it will need to go for a run sometime soon. I've mostly been shooting with my 4x5 camera in recent months. I find it a hard choice to make...

A part from a Drone-copter store? Is this going to be a mobile, remote controlled 8x10 camera?

Re: What I've been up to

I would absolutely love to try my hand at wet plate photography. But like many other things, it'll probably have to wait. I'm currently enjoying finally making wet prints, which has been a long time coming but as you say, having a final, finished product in your hand straight after a shoot must be a...

Re: CR Kennedy's customer service is crap.

I find service here hit and miss. Service is either exceptional or absolutely crap. Very much like back in the UK to be honest - we tend to have very similar attitudes to service. I've had a few great experiences - Chris Reid at Blanco Negro is always brilliant and really helpful, a shop in Melbourn...

Re: Upper Woolshed Falls, Beechworth

Thanks Barry! I suspect it says more about my ability in the darkroom than anything :) I should give it another go. It could have been any number of factors - old paper, temperature control (or lack of) and so on.

Upper Woolshed Falls, Beechworth

Another image from the year before last. I developed this ages ago however didn't really do anything with it. I remember trying to making a contact print but not having any success. It seemed to be massively contrasty when I printed it and I couldn't reduce that. I don't know. Anyway, thought I'd gi...

Re: WTD: wide 8x10 lens

Took delivery of the Fujinon 210 last week and got out with it yesterday. I'm very pleased with it - seems to have plenty of room for movements on my camera. Will develop the film I shot yesterday and see how it fares. So far, so good though.

WTD: A loupe (4 - 6x)

Looking to replace my battered and (in my humble opinion) not very good Peak 8x loupe. I just don't get on with it. Got a budget of about $60. Looking for something in the region of 4 - 6x. Anyone have anything kicking about?

Thanks!

Re: Selenium toner in sydney?

I didn't know Vanbar in Sydney had closed. That's a shame. When did that happen?
