Re: Fomapan film

FP4 was my film of choice with 6x6 and 35mm until I discovered what Tmax100 souped in FX39 is like. from my experience FP4 does not like FX39 and I was expecting the same for Fomapan which is a realy pity considering I have several bottles of FX39 developer. I was also thinking of a bulk buy of Tmax...

Re: Enlarger lamp

Thank you Shane . All I have at the moment are a few 100watt LEDs and I think they are way to bright . I can get 50 watt but I think a 30 watt would be more than enough. I did do some experiments a few years back with my 6x6 condenser enlarger and simply sat a cheap LED torch on top of the condenser...

Re: Developer comparisons

Very interesting test , maybe it is not that scientific but that's not as important as the end result anyway and this does give you a good comparison. Was this all done with fomapan100 film ? I have never used this film but wish to due to the price I can get it for I would also have liked to seen it...

Fomapan film

I can get Fomapan 100 4x5 film on eBay for around $50 delivered for a 50 sheet box, this is a big saving over the cost of my fave film Tmax 100 that I get for around $87 a box from Vanbar. This price difference can make the choice as to weather I buy film or not that week. Any one here ever used thi...

Re: Enlarger lamp

Yes I know the enlarger is only rated at 75 watt however I have tested it with a 150 watt left on for over 1 hour and there was no real heat build up to worry me at all , certainly not enough to worry all that aluminum in the lamp house with exposures under 60 seconds with a 25% duty cycle or less. ...

Re: Film Processing questions

You realy should learn to at least do your own B&W processing ,there are many ways to process the film there are way to many variables that affect the outcome of the negative that you will want and need control over such as different developers and development times. Colour films do not have as ...
