Re: Gun Shearers

That's an excellent environmental portrait, Maris. These guys are the unsung heroes of Australian workers and you'd be hard pressed to find any harder workers in the country.

Made some big c...

Re: Good photo locations in Tassie (minus the usual suspects!)

Lachlan... sorry I missed this post. My housemate is a fanatical bushwalker and also excellent landscape photographer (dylanoswin.com) He has covered so much of Tasmania and photographed them and has set up an incredibly impressive comprehensive website detailing many of the walks/hikes around Tasma...

Re: Campania

Hi Alex, I see all your work on LFPF and enjoy it. You're certainly doing great work with wet plate, something I've never tried. I also particularly like your portrait of Jerzy on the antarctic ship. I'm surprised you've had difficulty logging on here. I visit this site twice a day and never have a...

Campania

Been having a lot of troubles logging into the forums, as such I haven't come here in ages. Seems the site is down quite often? Anyway, here is an 11x14 inch tintype. Loving the new larger format but of course larger means more work. https://c1.staticflickr.com/8/7686/27090743136_b77ce057de_b.jpg ca...

That is an absolutely amazing image Maris. The tones all over look fantastic. Well done.

Re: Nelson and Liffey Falls, Tasmania

Those are some gorgeous images of a very popular photographed area. Much better than the standard over-saturated images I've ever seen. I particularly like the third one.

Re: Sunny Couch.

Nice portrait Maris and a unique angle. Back to the high country again? Seems like she spends more time there than home! I'm curious and asking and hope I don't offend, but what is the appeal of the soft focus lens? I've been doing a bit of reading and research about them lately and can't quite put ...

Re: Myles

I like this, Maris. Relaxed and elegant. The bare feet and at-ease pose on a serious and no doubt valuable leather couch with seemingly little regard for falling smouldering ash speak character and attitude.. Although I no longer smoke myself (used to be a pack a day smoker) I find it a little sad f...
