Re: Paperbark Trees, Lake Weyba

I'm assuming this is a contact print, if so, I really would like to see this in the flesh; it should be wonderful. Not sure if you've held the corners a tiny bit, but the natural fall off in all the corners works very well here as it looks natural. With regard to paperbark and paper bark. My underst...

Re: Nude on Exercise Bike

Interesting view point. If you hadn't mentioned it was on an exercise bike, I would never have guessed.

I like the rim lighting on the upper torso as it gives definition to the silhouette of the figure.

Sort of an action shot using a view camera; not an easy ask.

Re: Field Mushroom

Quite a newsworthy subject, it would seem.

Unless it was a giant mushroom, I would think you've done a bit of bellows extension, quite striking image.

Re: Noosa Bushfire, Aftermath

Quite hard to depict bushfires with B&W film, unless things are really scorched or there is smoke rising. You have both of those elements, and the sparseness of the smouldering landscape gives this a further kick. Fireproof aluminium, interesting. Does it go straight from solid to liquid? We had...

Re: Lake Weyba, Tree Window.

Relaxing picture, I think it may work well on a wall.

Country Estate, Inverell

Been on a bit of a trip. House on a hill on the outskirts of Inverell NSW. Nice sunny day, but really cool unless you were in the sunlight. Around 600m above sea level according to my GPS, which explains a bit of the cool feeling. Plus it was in July. Shen Hao HZX45-IIA Ilford FP4+ 4x5"...

Re: Lang Lang Station Points Lever

Thanks Maris. I hadn't thought of the Pillar of Power being the future and this being the past, but you are right, it is such. Yes the 250 is getting a workout whenever I wish to isolate things slightly, it is really quite good at that. I would have liked to have a 300, but there is a practical limi...

Lang Lang Station Points Lever

The trains have long gone from Lang Lang, as have General Motors Holdens from GM's test track. Nonetheless, I was visiting the area and decided to have lunch and chanced upon the now disused station, really only the platform; which the points lever is on, and the two sets of tracks adjacent to the p...

Re: Dracaena, Rainy Day

Aha, quite detailed reciprocity details there Maris. Kodak have at times surprised me with many films and their longer than one second measured exposure versus required exposure requirements. Ektar 25 professional was relatively unique, as no reciprocity adjustments were needed until 10 seconds meas...
