Scanning 120 film in Sydney?

Postby L2obin » 12 Nov 2012, 12:12

Any recommendations on cheap high quality 120 film scans in Sydney. Vision ImageLab in Redfern they wanted $56 to scan a 120film roll!

I don't know how much he costs, but have a look at this:

Further to this, can anyone recommend a Sydney (or mail order is fine) drum scanning service that'll do 4x5. I'd like to drum scan one sheet to compare with my Epson V700.

Alastair,

There are web resources that have done the comparisson. I can recommend one here:

However, from my own experience, it seems that the v700 can get very close to the resolution of a 2000spi drum scan (for BW negatives.. and I bet for colour negatives as well...) if the v700 scanning process is optimised.

Try Shane Pearce, above Blanco Negro in Redfern, or David Kay...
