Brighde

Brighde (blog post: https://ambrotrocities.wordpress.com/20 ... ambrotype/)
11x14 clear glass ambrotype
24 inch JC Somerville rapid rectilinear lens, 1 second exposure @ f8 (I absolutely love this lens! First time using it...)

hot today so a plate's little messy but it makes a nice edgy portrait of this cool chick.

I've been lurking around these parts for over two years now and have yet to comment or contribute in any way. About time I fixed that.
Fantastic portrait, Alex! Brighde's attitude shines through with her stance and that distant gaze and, you're right, the format really brings that edge to the fore. Nicely done; she must be rapt with this.
