Postby smbooth » 13 Jan 2015, 11:16

Mc Namara Hut, or sometime known as Buckety Plain Hut just out of Falls Creek and a 1.5 km walk in on a 4X4 track.
Hut was orginal built in 1940 but was razed to the ground in the 2003 fires. However rebuilt on the same spot shortly after to the same design.
Efke IR820 with a R72 filter exposed at ISO 1.5.
Contract printed on Ilford WTMG at grade 1.5 and developed in Ilford WT.

Love this shot, Shane. Saw it on Facebook and thought it was a cracker. Even better for seeing it in a decent size! How long was the exposure for?

Thanks Alastair, I think it was around 7 seconds. I never write these things down. Rated film at ISO1.5 and had a R72 IR filter.

Shane, Efke IR820 is an exhilarating, frustrating, inconsistent, treacherous film that has disappointed me hundreds of times. But I'd stop belly-aching if I could get photographs half as good as your spectacular Mc Namara Hut . This is a master-class in how good IR can be when it's done right!

Those b&w speckles in the grass look amazing.
