Moonset Tamborine, Winter.

Postby RoganJosh » 27 Jan 2015, 13:59

An easy photo to make when looking west from Mt. Tamborine. Despite having photographed from many of the peaks in SE QLD, this is still one of my favourite viewpoints. 4x5 t-max, 210 lens, warm jumper.

The moon rises and sets every day so you would think making a good picture of it would be easy. It's not. There is only a short space of time between when the moon is bright enough to register on the film but the land is still dark enough not to be over exposed and blown out. You know when it has all been done right when the man-in-the-moon face appears distinct. RoganJosh has nailed it...superbly!
