View of Mount Cooroy, Across the Noosa River

Gelatin-silver photograph on Ultrafine Silver Eagle VC FB photographic paper, image size 16.4cm X 21.3cm, from a 4x5 TriX Pan Professional negative exposed in a Tachihara 45GF double extension field view camera fitted with a Nikkor-W 210mm f5.6 lens and #25 red filter.
Titled and signed recto, stamped and annotated verso.

The idea of a distant mountain framed by foreground objects comes from Katsuhika Hokusai (1750 - 1849) and his 36 Views of Mount Fuji.

Yes, I was looking for a nearby rock to repeat the shape of the distant mountain but eventually settled for the loop in the trunk of the fallen tree; a compromise. Then I waited for a boat to anchor (?) the eyeline between foreground and horizon. The boat arrived but it was rather far away; another compromise. At least there were some lucky clouds in the sky.
