Great exposure Geoff.

What film did you use for this, you've done well to not blow out the glared reflection of the guard rail while also getting detail from the road surface and the shadowed hills in the background... That kind of dynamic range makes me (as a Velvia 50 shooter) jealous... I wish there was a colour negative film that gave me the luscious colours of Velvia, but also some sense of range..

Ektar 100 gives very nice colours but the range is not far enough above that of velvia to make it worth my effort (to learn different reciprocity characteristics and learn how to develop it at home..)

Great stuff.

It was Portra 160, the 'new' version. I like it, nice range and the colours are nice and muted.

I really like the image at the start of the thread, Geoff. Something about roads - they always seem to conjure a story...

Great images Geoff

At first I thought, so what a road and a somewhat boring landscape. But on closer reflection its all about man's intrusion on nature and our warped sense of progress. Nice work.

The second image is a great composition with the foreground curves matching the curved road. All added to by a slightly surreal colour pallete. Well done.
