First images from my home made camera!! :D

Postby alexn » 20 Aug 2012, 21:28

Well... Here is the results from $16 worth of pine, a $140 90mm F/8 and a linhof 4x5 back.

6x12 back...
Shot on Velvia 50, developed at home.
Microtek I900 scanner.

Think I'm going to pull this camera apart to make a 6x17 point and shoot... Seeing how easily this worked, I think making a 6x17 from my 6x17 back should be easy enough...

Well, isn't that truth and justification for what we choose to do right there!

I am not sure if I ever worked with this location back in the travelling girlie days but I can tell you that there are dudes forever getting down there with their DSLRs shooting the guts out of dear old Dicky at sunset and moonrise and all sorts of things. But the digital just can't hold a candle to this. On so many levels.

Lovely shots Alex. Thanks for sharing.

Looks fine, what you set the focus point to?
And course we want photos of the camera.

I am disappointed - I was hoping for a set of weird images, these all look like you have made a serious camera, which is obviously want you wanted, so my disappointment is in realitude a compliment on your skill
