Thanks for the input guys.
As I said, these were my first shots through the 8x10 so just getting used to that. I can see your point. This image was cropped down a little already maintaining the 4x5/8x10 aspect ratio to remove some scratching from the CL81 reel at the top right of the image.

I don't like cropping down LF images to different ratios for some reason and probably just need to overcome that I guess.

These were just shot from the roadside as I have all my 8x10 gear in a giant plastic box from the reject shop. I need to streamline my workflow with 8x10 I think so I can get more mobile with the camera.

Also, yes Maris that is Quamby Bluff :) I was hoping to head back down the midlands today for a couple/few nights and get up to the lakes but the weather has turned to shit :(

"more mobile with 8x10" there a contradiction in terms :)

I know what both you mean but I must admit, I feel a bit more mobile with my 8x10 than my 4x5, oddly enough. Probably because I only have a single lens for the 8x10 and have limited film holders. So I tend to go out with the intention of capturing only two images. With my 4x5, I'll overpack - all the lenses, all the film holders, everything. When I go out with my 8x10, I take the camera and lens, a single (or occasionally two) film holders, tripod and light meter. That's it.

I just need to get a bag. All the gear doesn't seem to heavy, but having it in a box is kind of impractical although so far I've only been using it out of the back of a van.

Finally got the spacers to fit my red 29 filter in the filter bracket. Not sure if I'm a fan of the insane contrast or I need to use a different developing technique to keep the contrast in check..?

This was R09 at 1:50 for 10 mins on foma 200 8x10.

Also getting pissy at the scratching of the negs making me have to do annoying crops. Had some nicer foreground/sky composition in this one which I had to get rid of but oh well
