My shots (from around tassie)

Postby alex gard » 19 Feb 2014, 19:38

e: seeing as this is just a dump for all my stuff, thought I'd rename the thread.

Been out and about a little bit. Getting the hang of the camera and the large format process.

Having a lot of fun.

This is all FP4+ 4x5 in various stages of undress (Rodinol 1:25 and 1:100)

I like what you are doing ..... and in a wide range of environments. Thanks for showing them.

Thanks for showing a local's eye view. When I go to NW Tasmania I fall into the tourist traps, Table Cape, Cradle Mountain, The Nut, etc...predictable as clockwork.
Alex, keep 'em coming!

I moved back here from Melbourne with the intention of getting out into the country a lot more and taking snaps. I still don't have a car, only a motorbike (and lugging around the 4x5 kit in a backpack is pretty painful over long distances on that thing!).. So much beautiful scenery around Tassie, lived here most of my life and have seen bugger all of it.

Alex, do I see traces of uneven development in some of the last four pictures? Or is scanning or something else? What's your work flow to get these pictures on my monitor screen? The compositions are so well seen that it's a pleasure to just look.

Thanks maris. Please point out the uneven points. I used stand r09 and id-11 1:3 in a patterson with mod54. Im still pretty new to developing so any pointers are totally welcome. I dont have a darkroom so these are just scanned on v700 and totally
Minimal digital post. Tiny midtone bumps and dodge and burn. The ones from midlands are untouched except for 90mm tree which has midtones bumped up slightly.
