Image
Distorted Tank, Ravenswood
Gelatin-silver photograph on Agfa Classic MCC III VC FB photographic paper, image size19.4cm X 24.4cm, from a 4x5 Tmax 100 negative exposed in a Tachihara 45GF field view camera fitted with a Schneider Super Angulon 90mm f8 lens. The camera back is at maximum tilt allowed by the 90mm lens and compressed bellows. To get even front to back sharpness the lens was stopped down to f45. Image detail is limited by diffraction but the small picture size means the effect is not obtrusive.

A fine example of the relevance that can result from near/far focus obtainable with lens movements.

(I wonder if we saw this a year or so ago, Maris, or is it a new adventure?)
