Amen to that, Maris, and I suspect Grant Mudford might heartily agree also..

Good ones, Walter! The church is a perfect archetype of Australian corrugated combining the aesthetic and the pragmatic. Short of a massive bushfire a corrugated iron church will last forever with minimal maintenance.
That corrugated wall with all the tags and the dunny on the left has been up before - worth seeing again. Perfect timing on the skimming light!

Maris, very nice cloudy bright conditions seem to have given you the perfect lighting for the corrugations of the shed, nice framing to boot. Something that corrugated iron sheds/buildings need, to look good.

With that lens on 8x10, do you have much room for movement?

Mick.

Mick, you see it right. It was cloudy bright but perishingly cold with a sharp breeze. The back of the shed afforded a bit of shelter so that's where the camera was set up. Framing strategy was the basic "get it all in". I didn't correct for verticals - wasn't sure if the shed was straight anyway. The lens covered 8x10 with some millimetres to spare. Later the shutter failed and I bought a nice (and heavy) Fujinon-W 300/5.6 as a replacement.

Thanks Maris.

Hmm, that 300 W is a big lens, about double the weight of my Fujinon 250 W f/6.3 and that isn't a small lens. I use the 250 on 4x5" so I have more room for movements than is possible on my cameras, which is nice to have.

Mick.
