Highly commndable selection of shutter speed to depict water flow without it turning into fairy-floss.

Thanks Bazz8 and Walter. This sort of oblique close-up is easy with a view camera and a bit of front swing to carry focus from near to far. With a fixed shape camera like my favourite Mamiya RB67 I'd have to stop down a lot to get the depth of field and then buy the light back with a slow shutter speed.
And then the running water would look like fairy-floss instead of, er, water.
