Gelatin-silver photograph on Silver Eagle VC FB photographic paper, image size 21.5cm X 16.2cm, from a 4x5 Kodak Tmax 100 negative exposed in a Tachihara 45GF double extension field view camera fitted with a Nikkor-W 210mm f5.6 lens.

The secret to beauty, in my opinion, is the incorporation of TIME. To and exposure to elemental factors that lead to the establishment of the ever-fascinating and rewarding of PATINA.

Thanks all for the kudos. When good subject matter turns up photography gets very easy.
These boards form the off-ramp at a ski-lift and are buried in ice for a few months of the year. The rest of the time they are cooked in high altitude sunlight. Most of them are quarter-sawn or near to it (to minimise warping) and the medullary rays gleam and shimmer. Old photographers should go grey so nice.
