Reeds at Lake Catani

Arca-Swiss Universalis 4x5, Fujinon 300mm C, Fujichrome Provia RDP III 100f

The day before I took this photograph, the surface was frozen. Unfortunately it didn't stand up to 12 hours of rain and gale force winds.

That looks very nice indeed. The enclosed landscape format suits this down to the ground, or should I say, "water?"

Reminds me of "Pick up Sticks" the game, something I haven't played in close to 60 years. We had wooden ones which looked just like those reeds. The modern ones were plastic, I seem to remember.

Penny for your thoughts, Mick. Pick-up Sticks indeed. As did the Ansel Adams snap of reeds and Harry Callahans version in reversed tonality.
