Love this, Maris. Great composition and full of interest from foreground to background. Camera couldn't have been very far from the foreground grasses. Lovely.

Thanks Barry. The 121mm Super Angulon is crazy wide on an 8x10 camera but working in a forest often means there's no room to step back and frame a nice tree portrait. So instead step forward, make the foreground grass sharp, keep the tripod's feet out of the picture, stop the lens down, and shoot; all will be well...mostly.
