Jimna Hall #2
Gelatin-silver photograph on Agfa Classic VC FB photographic paper, image size 24.7cm X 19.3cm, from a 8x10 Kodak Tmax 400 negative
exposed in a Tachihara 810HD field view camera fitted with a Schneider Super Angulon 121mm f8 lens.

The Jimna Hall is a plain building so I thought I'd jazz it up by using an extremely wide angle lens. I did get some exaggerated "perspective" but because the lens just covers 8x10 I couldn't use lens rise. Hence too much front lawn.

Maris,
definitely a good idea to use the very wide angle lens to give it a bit of a different look.

I'm in two minds as to whether the lawn area is best left as is, or whether to crop the lawn somewhat. Presumably you are doing contact prints, so that makes it a bit harder to achieve a clean crop as I've always gotten an ever so slightly feathered hard line when cropping a contact print.

The sun is at the best angle for the weatherboards.

Mick.
