I was given a very old Petzval type lens. A Ross Cabinet No.3. 330mm focal length. Big, heavy, brass, the focus knob and the Waterhouse shutters missing, the glass needed a good clean.

Shot in my home made 8x10 sliding box simple lens camera on paper neg.

Scan of paper neg, some minor adjustments, a few highlights removed and sepia toned in PS.

Nice test, lens look promising. Wish somebody gave me one of those lens, I keep getting cheap plastic cameras from the 80s...
