Film Processing Labs - Colour

Hi everyone,

In a similar vein to the previous thread on film suppliers, I thought it may be useful to get peoples input on good film processing labs around the country. I have been using Vision Image Lab in Redfern NSW for a few years but am looking for a new one as they've left streaking on my negs one time too many. Suggestions?

Nathan

Well down here in Victoria we have Prism Colour, Michaels, Vanbar, Colour Factory, Bond Labs and I think Horsham Colour.

CPL does a C41 run once a week.

I've always been happy with the work done by Atkins Technicolour here in Adelaide.

There's a newish place on Chapel St down near Carlisle St end called Light Leaks, I think.
They develop film, not sure of their prices, could be a bit on the steep side as they sound pretty boutique-y

So has anyone used Vanbar for E6/C41 and can vouch for them? Their prices don't seem too bad...

Vanbar are fine , I don't think they do C41 in 4x5sheet but The Colour Factory just down the road does. They do C41 and E6 roll film , and E6 4x5 sheet. Michael do everything including 8x10 sheet.

For anyone interested I sent a couple of 120 rolls to Prism Imaging in Melbourne for E6 development and am really happy with the results (ie. no uneven development or streaking etc). Their prices were about two dollars more per roll than Vision Image Lab who I was previously using but still cheaper than Michaels and Vanbar. The only thing to keep in mind is that they don't do a 4x5 C41 process there.
