Thank Goodness the Forum came back!!!

Postby Walter Glover » 27 Dec 2014, 11:55

There might not be many of us but there are good people and good friends amongst us and I think that the forum is far too valuable to dismiss, even if it is not a torrent of activity at times.

Season's greetings, all,

I've a bad habit of messing and that's what happened. I messed and broke it. But it's on a good server now with loads of RAM and disk space and it should be nice and stable and hopefully reasonably quick.

I'll try and post some images and see how it goes. I notice that there is limit on the size of an uploaded file. It's taking me ages to figure out the size that is allowed.

I'll take a look at the file size limit. It should be fairly big but bear with me and I'll find out what it is.

Was wondering what had happened to this forum, just got the email and the pointer to where it is now so many thanks for that Alestair.

This may not be the busiest of forums but at least it is Australian making any information in it far more relevant.

Forums like this are also vital to keep film photography going and show manufacturers like Kodak and Ilford that there is indeed still a demand for photography film.

Some more good news as well , just looked at Vanbar site and Kodak 4x5 Tmax100 is now back down to $78 for a 50 sheet box from $138 :) this is very likely to change without notice though so who knows.

This image is 5000x4000 and 1MB in size. You should be good at least up to this resolution.

That is good news! I almost choked when I saw the price of it.
