I wouldn't show this guys work even if he wasn't snaking stock images. His work is a dime a dozen on Flikr. If he wants to make images that look like paintings why doesn't he do just that?

Got to say, a lot of his images look like he's just put them through Instagram.

But still somebody paid $2,400.00 for it. Good marketing or good photography...

It says that they are priced at $2400...the chances are that he hasn't actually sold any at that amount, or any other amount for that matter.

He has sold quite a few at that price. The gallery is offering refunds for those that have bought the works in question.

How on earth is it good marketing? The works sold are from previous shows and refunds have been offered. The latest show was cancelled and his representation at the gallery was dropped.

I read it as being a good marketing move by the gallery - for the benefit of the gallery.

I thought it was good marketing that he has managed to sell even one of his photos.
