Chris at Blanco Negro - what a nice bloke!

I was passing by Blanco Negro this morning on the way to work and saw Chris, the proprietor, outside having a smoke. I've exchanged a few emails with him in the past and bought some 8x10 film from him although he wasn't around when I bought it so haven't actually met him in person before.

I asked him if he had the film in stock he was ordering (Foma 100) and he said, "yep! Would you like some?" I knew he's cash only so said I didn't have any cash on me. He said "Not to worry! I'll send you an invoice and you can pay me later". So he disappeared inside, grabbed me a box and I was on my way! What a great, trusting bloke he is and I shall be buying from him more in future. Anyway, just wanted to share that with you.

Thanks for letting us know Welly. I've been meaning to go to Blanco for ages now. Knowing that it's run by a legendary bloke is all the more reason to get round to doing it!

Last time I e-mailed him to order some 8x10 film he responded by sending the film with an invoice before I had any chance to pay-brilliant bloke. I recommend him to everyone I can, please support him.

This is such a rarity in general retail, so we're doubly lucky he's on our side!!
