Strange, interesting. I see hints of Sally Mann and even Jock Sturges. The lens swirlies maybe suggest a Petzval and the lighting could be flash and reflector fill. It's accomplished work but not with the virtuosity of Arnold Newman or Avedon...yet. And its a perfect anodyne for Anne Geddes!

I saw a lot of Sally Mann in her work Maris, but I wonder if that is down to it being pics of ankle biters?

I'll have another look when I get home tonight for the Jockster influence.

I wasn't too impressed given the slow loading rate of the images and the sameness of each of them.

I find them difficult to look at being a 30 something white male, in case someone is looking over my shoulder. I love portraits but I can't say they do a lot for me. Technically, they're wonderful but if she replaced the young kids with a older female, I could probably quite happily browse those images! I suppose most of the photography that interests me don't generally feature people and that probably reflects the photography I do. Haven't analysed that too deeply though.
