New Years Resolutions

Postby smbooth » 26 Dec 2012, 16:55

After pissing around half of Boxing Day I have come up with the following NY resolutions

Learn to meter better and don't under expose B&W negatives.
Don't waste time trying to print thin negatives.

All the best

Under-exposure and thin negatives are not necessarily related at all times.

My resolutions:
1. Shoot more
2. Print more - both darkroom and inkjet
3. Consolidate equipment

  • Apply some consistency to my methods
  • Slow down
  • Write down more
  • Make cleaner/better scans
  • Learn to wet print - I've *some* wet printing experience, was looking at a few print the other day actually but this is a new and exciting area for me!

Oh, and start shooting portraits.

1. Become the worlds best landscape photographer.
2. Take reality medication.

Stop pursuing talent, vision, imagination, and inspiration and take up persistence and discipline. That may actually be the way forward in this large format photography game.

To share my work more. Not necessarily to sell or exhibit but to share with family and friends.
