Hasselblad 903 SWC Lens Clean

I have just discovered my much revered 903SWC lens has developed what pears to a mould problem which is only evident when looking straight through the lens wide open.

The "mould" appears to be on the very inner lens element next to the shutter blade.

Can anyone advise a good service centre who could be trusted with this lens & camera - preferably in Melbourne?

From what I have read CR Kennedy are slow and send the camera to NZ and Camera Clinic seems to be the best alternative.

Advice welcome

May I suggest you have a chat to Laurie at Camera Clinic. He has worked on a several LF lenses for me over the years and his work is first class.

Generally mold etches into the len, you may be lucky and it cleans out....
Store your new lens with that moister sucking gel.

I've had lenses (not Hasselblad) serviced through CRK before and it took a long wait and numerous calls before anything was done with them; it took them over a month just to be sent from Sydney to Melbourne! It'd be great if you keep us in the loop with how things go, at some point I'm going to need some Hasselblad gear serviced and experiences of others will play a part in where I take it.

Another vote for Laurie - he's only doing a few days a week these days, and I'm always told it will take weeks... but it never does.
