Interesting technicalities but they still echo the popular fallacy of "looks like" means "same as". Even if digital picture making was to advance to the stage of exactly replicating the appearance of a photograph it would still not offer the qualities unique to pictures made out of light-sensitive substances, er, photographs.

A gold-plated brick looks exactly like a gold brick but you wouldn't buy one on appearances alone.
More coarsely, from a yard or so away fig jam looks the same as pig shit. Never confuse the two.
More philosophically, the authority of a photograph to describe subject matter comes not from resemblance but from physical causation.
