FS: Schneider G Claron 240mm - near mint

Postby Lachlan717 » 08 Mar 2016, 13:01

I found myself with 2 of these. Absolutely Amazing lenses.

When I first got a Claron 240mm, I also had one of Kerry Thalmann's Fujinon 240 A lenses. So, I compared them. Even at 100% on a 2400dpi scan of Efke 25, there was no difference to my eye. If anything, I thought that the Claron handled contrast just a touch better, being single coated.

So, I sold the Fujinon!

The Clarons are just bloody fantastic lenses. I have the 355mm on my 7x17". I've written on another forum about its sharpness. There is a photo somewhere of the pier pylons at Port Melbourne where you can see snagged fishing line about 40 metres away. This will be no different.

As for this lens' condition? Basically pristine. NO Schneideritis. A rarity in these lenses. The Compur shutter seems hardly used. Tight and taut. Snappy.

Covers 8x10".

Anyway, I'd like $400, including shipping in Oz.

Okay, "ULF Tassie Trip" special, just for this site:

$325 incl. postage.

I also have one in a Copal in similar condition. $350 plus postage for that one.

Thanks!
