Large format auction.

Postby Maris » 19 Oct 2012, 13:24

There is an auction of large format cameras, lenses, enlargers, film dryers, etc, etc happening TOMMOROW saturday at:
Toowoomba Auction Centre, 7 Rocla Court, Toowoomba. Contact is Pat Dunne 0413 182 022.

The gear is from SQIT and includes 7 Durst 4x5 enlargers with controllers and timers, Cambo Legend cameras with lenses. I fear that the number of bidders on the spot in Toowoomba may be few or nil even at give-away prices and the gear may be passed in, ignored, unwanted and go to landfill. What to do at such short notice?

If you could afford to, but it all and then ebay / LFPF / APUG / Rangefinder Forum etc... You would likely make a ton of money from it

Why in Toowoomba of all places. If anything look like its going for a song put your hand up :)
Couple of Cambos and what looks like Durst Laborator 1000 or CE1000 (at the back) with colour head, boy I would love to be there as I have a filter only 1000 and CE1000 without a light source.

A follow up:

Apparently all the cameras, lenses, and enlargers in the Toowoomba auction of ex SQIT equipment went for $1200....total! But it seems they are not going far. The gear is destined for Foto Frenzy in Brisbane as the nucleus of a public access darkroom and photographic workshop facility. Checking the Foto Frenzy web site reveals that personalities from the Australian Instute of Professional Photography are involved but don't hold that against them. There could be a good ending.
