Heidelberg Chromagraph S3400 Drum Scanner
Posted: 28 Apr 2014, 16:00
G'day LFA,
It looks like I may be approaching the end of my drum scanning journey. As much as I'd love to keep the S3400, I'm not shooting nearly as much as I used to, and when I do, it's usually with a small point 'n shoot. As such, I'm looking to find a new home for this magnificent piece of kit.
I'm based in Sydney and I've not come across another Chromagraph here in Aus. The machine itself is running beautifully; I tracked down an ex-Heidelberg technician who gave the machine a complete service in late 2012 (will have to confirm exactly when it was), and it has probably only had ~50 scans through it since then.
It comes with 1 small drum, 3 medium drums and 2 large drums. All drums are in good condition with no noticeable crazing. The 2 large drums are currently fitted with black cardboard for reflective scanning.
The system will also come with a PowerMac G4 with OS9 and Linocolor 6 installed, as well as a SCSI and Ratoc Firewire-SCSI adapter.
I will try and update this post with pictures in the next day or two.
For anyone interested, feel free to message me on here.
Many thanks,
Jamie
