My mate did and then bought another from a firm in Sydney as there $1000 or so models a bit rrrrruff
I will get the name for you
But it's a nice saw. And a lot safer.

Right. Back on track and reckoning day.

Today, I cut the Blackwood and start on the wooden rear frame. Hopefully, my jointing skills are up to it.

Still amazed at the beauty of the Blackwood… To the point where I'm shit-scared to make the first cut.

Luckily, though, I have two really top quality Trades' Assistants to help me!

Hopefully some photos later today on this.

Right; 2 frames done. One bigger than the other (and coincidentally, one smaller than the other) to make best fit for bellows/back.

Got some gluing and then sanding to do, but these should get me going.

Turns out my Trades' Assistants promised the world and didn't even give me an atlas.

Didn't make me a coffee, didn't get me a pie from the milkbar at smoko, and didn't fall for the "get me a left-handed screwdriver" gag.

Guess they are blondes...

Wood does change a lot from tree to tree.
Apparently the only way to tell the difference in species of the ghost gums in blue mt is to get up the very top of the canopy and see the differences in flowers in spring!
