Gluing begins.

Arguably the third worst jig I have ever built - does one corner at a time.

You might get light leaks with that piece of wood.

And what appears to be the world's biggest pin hole seems to be out of round...

I'm waiting on some carbon fibre tubing from Hong Kong to act as the front/rear extension bracing, so things are somewhat a a standstill on this.

Hope to get on to it again soon.

How are you planning to build the standards? Is it going to have full movements? Axis or base tilt?

Front standard's based on a Deardorff one. Rise/Fall, tilt and swing. No shift.

Rear is my own design. Rise/Fall, tilt and swing.

Axis on both.

I'm toying with not gearing the front extension. Just have it slide on a track and have a lock. Then, use the rear geared extension to focus.

Got an idea for a new locking system that I'm working out. Details later….

Bugger me!! What a camera!

Sadly, not mine…

I've changed my mind on the format. Now doing a 7x17" with the idea of selling my Korona once it's done.

It's been on hold for a bit while I tool up the shed and get some time to do it. However, I think that it'll be underway again next week. In fact, I ordered the Carbon Fibre sheets this morning. Due in by mid month, so need to start getting the timber ready.

Think I'll head back and have another look at your link again...

Where do you get CF sheet, and how do you cut it?

If your making the camera, build a 10x17 so you can fit a rotating 8x10 back :)

The 7x17's just a practice run for the main event: the 12x20!

Clyde Butcher's had it too good for too long....
