IR820 comparision

Just a test image of some Efke IR820, one is straight at ISO100 no filter, the other with R72 filter shot at effective ISO1.5. Developed in Xtol 1:2. Day was what I would call a typical sunny day, not super bright.
Scan of negative, level adjust only in scanning process. I think I may of applied some USM to the first one.

A quite inspiring result. It is ages since I tried any IR - somewhere I still have the R72 filter, I am sure - but it is probably time to dip the toe into the IR waters yet again.

I've never tried IR photography. Looking at your results, I think I might have to! I really like the look of IR photographs.

Well I have to because I have 30 sheets (8x10) and 50 sheets (4x5). Looking forward to some sunny days in the high country.

Where did you get your IR film from, out of interest?

The 8x10 I brought from a Melbourne guy on APUG along with some 4x10 FP4 (which I'll cut up), the 4x5 I got from the Eb@y link below. Both lots are Efke IR820. Have not tested the 4x5 but friend of another forum has tried it and no problems.
