These are awesome, they look like sketches. How did you get this effect?

The print is on Fomaspeed Variant 311 resin paperis gloss finish
the print was Gd 4 and Toned with Fomatone Sepia
I love the old effect which I was aiming for

Look at the short shadows under the trees. The exposures must have been done about noon when the brilliant desert light was most intense. And the high key Fomaspeed/sepia pictures carry the luminous effect perfectly.

These remind me of pictures my grandfather took in the mid 1920's in the middle of nowhere as he and my mother and the rest of the family traversed the continent. Everything he did was sepia toned back then.

They are very nice and as Maris mentioned, obviously taken when the light was at its strongest.

Best of all though, is that you achieved what you set out to achieve, that above anything else is very satisfying.

So much for not shooting in the middle of the day! The adherents of that old wive's tale would have completely missed out on these exquisite views.
