Re: Heathcote CBA

Maris, thanks for your kind words, and yes, it is a beaut building. I did think about using a filter, and I had time to think about what, if any filtration I would or could use. I found this building after walking into Heathcote from our camping site and deciding that this would be something worth p...

Re: McIvor Creek

Thanks, Mick , for the fascinating account on how the Reveni Labs Wireless Remote Shutter Release tamed the sway in the suspension bridge. For firing a camera at a distance that gadget is a lot more convenient than my buzzy Auto-Knips self-timer or my air powered Pneumatic Remote Release; the one w...

Oscar, I think 4x5 is the better format! :o

That said, the most wonderful format I've used; as an assistant to a photographer, was 11x14". But the size of the film holders, and their weight, now that is another story.......

Re: McIvor Creek

Maris, you make me blush, I'm not that good, maybe a little bit lucky every now and then. I do however agree it did look a bit like an art director had organised the scene, which is why as I was passing it while crossing a suspension bridge and had a glance downstream, I stopped and backtracked. Fir...

Re: Serviceton Scorers Shed

Alex, that is pretty much why I wished to record it.

The next time I visit, if ever, it may have been replaced with something nice and shiny; although I doubt that would happen.

Re: FOR SALE: 4X5 Film Holders

Or, 50 holders for a box of 100 Ilford FP4 or HP5!

Nice lot there, if only these were available around 30 years ago when I was looking for some more film holders. And yes, those film holders, of which I have some, are very nice to use.

I'm thinking.......

Re: Serviceton Railway Station

Maris, yes it is a very long railway station, apparently the longest one in Victoria, perhaps Australia; I don't know. As for the platform, that is very long and these days is mainly used for weddings, corporate meetings and train enthusiasts gatherings. The kitchen still has a few items from the la...
