Re: Beached Boat, Lake Cootharaba

Yes, I'll open by saying: Thank you Alistair. Thank you Oscar. Thank you Steve. I like this, it seems that the cloudy day has been kind to you, although your endeavours certainly took advantage of everything possible. The hull is very well the centre of attention, and also the lightest part. Seconde...

Re: Under new management

Oscar, once again, many thanks for running things for the past 6 years, really, really appreciated.

Steve, this is wonderful that you have taken over the forum; here's hoping for a great ride.

Re: Full Moon, Sunshine Beach.

Your comments remind me of this joke.

Re: Full Moon, Sunshine Beach.

Almost an abstract image in disguise, reeeeeeeealy nice. Sunshine beach illuminated by a full moon, through a red filter; one assumes the exposure could almost be long enough to invite Mr and Mrs reciprocity to the party. :D The shadow detail in the foreground looks good on the screen, one wonders h...

Re: Lake Weyba, Evening Storm Advancing

I've been pushing myself to add when I can, health issues have made this a bit hard, but as you say, if there was nothing at all happening, then it would not even attract a skerik of interest.

Re: Lake Weyba, Evening Storm Advancing

Maris, how do you find a wedge shaped cloud and a wedge shaped stump in the same scene? Answer: fabulous lake Weyba, that is where! :D That is quite the subtle wedge picture there Maris, I doff my hat to you. The line of bright sand between the water and the pushed up debris lights the bottom of the...

Re: Surry Hills Roofscape

Quite an interesting cityscape you have there Maris! It is busy, yet at the same time quite relaxing. The top half is full of interesting things, with the electronic sign being the most interesting; $10.00 indeed, hinting of the era that you exposed the film in. The bottom half is glorious, what wit...

Re: Park Shelter, Deloraine

Maris, the flare coming through all of the cracks is what gives this a bit of a kick; flare in this instance is good!!! Must be about 5 stops difference from the front, great detail on the timber. If the below the sink plumbing had been with galvanised pipes, instead of plastic, it probably could be...
