Re: Cork oaks morning

Which rendition do you prefer John,

Flickr or LFPA? I have a preference but it's not about me, it's about YOU and your intent as author.

I'll soon add some data that might be helpful on the "Which" thread.

Cheers,

Re: Republican Morning Light, Bondi Beach

As it happenss, the photograph was taken on the morning of 30th January, 2001 — the Centebary of Federation and the folks in the bottom left flat celebrated by pinning an Australian Red Ensig...

Re: Success in the darkroom

John, Take heed of Barry, he is a master of Roll Your Own and works to a remarkable level level of craftsmanship and innovation. Re: Which?

No apology needed at all John, That's exactly the sort of response I was hoping to elicit. I just know what works for me as a print for viewing, but the environment of the internet with lower resolution, different colour space aand transillumination rather than reflected illumination to say nothing o...

Re: En-deadened acacia

Sorry John,

I wrote about these pics and by the time I hit 'SUBMIT' I had to sign in again. When I did the text had vanished. Bugger! At 2:30 it'll have to wait for another time.

Re: A bit of cush

"First time I've pointed my camera straight down... I nearly lost it a few times!" John, At nearly 4.6kg without a lens the Horseman L45 is a fat-arsed fish wife of a beast to schlepp about, let alone to point down or put on a boom arm. (I know all too well after just researching what to ...

Re: En-deadened acacia

John, I accidentally bumped the trackpad with the cursor on your photo and was taken to your Flickr page where it is displayed against a black ground and the balance of the charred limb against its surroundings swung immeasurably in favour of the image's enhancement. In general I tend to find colour...
